The young golfer can count on multiple well-known backers as she makes her LPGA debut later this week.

The 18-year-old athlete, who is the granddaughter of a former US president, obtained a sponsor's invitation to play at Florida's Annika event in Florida.

"He's quite skilled. I can't reveal details but we play some close matches," she revealed.

She mentioned that her grandfather, who won't be present, told her: "Just avoid anxiety."

"My grandpa basically advised me to play and enjoy myself," she continued.

"In my eyes, he's simply a regular grandfather. He can't make it this weekend. He's occupied with presidential duties, so he's rather occupied."

Being non-professional, Kai has played in only three events this year and maintains the 461st position in the American Junior Golf Association standings.

However she's able to seek guidance from golf legend, romantically involved with Vanessa.

"He stands as the top athlete globally," Kai expressed.

"Furthermore, he's a more impressive individual. He suggested me to go out there, enjoy myself, and go with the flow."

She'll challenge several most prominent players in women's golf at the competition, featuring second-ranked Nelly Korda, England's golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.

Officials commented that involving Kai brings golf to wider groups, especially among youth audiences.
