Plane Transporting US Defense Secretary Required to Land in UK Because of Fracture in Cockpit Window
A jet transporting Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an unscheduled landing in the Britain on Wednesday due to a fissure was identified in the jet's front window, per an official announcement which stated that Hegseth was safe.
"The plane landed in accordance with standard procedures and everyone onboard, among them Defense Secretary Hegseth, is secure," an official representative said in a online announcement.
The secretary was coming back from a short visit to the Belgian capital when the incident occurred.
This occurrence does not mark the first occasion that a American defense plane carrying a senior official has experienced technical problems.
Months ago, a United States Air Force aircraft carrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to Munich was compelled to return to the US capital after suffering a technical issue.
