Prolific young adult author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.
A spokesman for the firm said: "Following a thorough review, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the move was reached following an investigation into allegations of questionable actions involving women.
The publisher did not confirm the motivations for this action, stating: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."
Walliams stands as a most successful children's authors, having sold over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in dozens of tongues.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Some of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into small-screen adaptations.
To date, he has released more than 40 books altogether, including a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.
He first rose to fame on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
